Selena Marie Gomez is an American singer, actress, and producer who has been hailed as a “triple threat”. She was born in Texas and began her career on the children’s television series Barney & Friends. She then went on to become a leading star of MTV and Disney Channel. Her success on these shows led to many people calling her the next Britney Spears. She is currently the highest-paid female artist of all time.

After starring in the hit movie, “Hannah Montana,” Selena Gomez was able to expand her brand beyond just music. The singer-actress also has a clothing line. The line was launched in 2010 and she also teamed up with Kmart. As of January 2013, Selena Gomez became a UNICEF ambassador.
